RICHMOND \u2014 Police in Richmond, B.C., say they’re investigating a suspected kidnapping in a restaurant parking lot.<\/p>\n
Police say they were called to the Bamboo Grove Restaurant on No. 3 Road just after 10 p.m. on Friday, after a witness reported seeing two men forcing another man into a pickup truck. <\/p>\n
Investigators say they believe the vehicle is a grey 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, and not a Ford F-150 as originally thought. <\/p>\n
They say in a statement that the truck has a sunroof, mud flaps and a triple ball hitch and it was reported stolen from Maple Ridge in September. <\/p>\n
Mounties say they’ve also seized a Volkswagen Jetta involved in the alleged kidnapping after it was seen on the surveillance footage reviewed by investigators. <\/p>\n
Police say officers from the serious crime unit are looking to speak with potential witnesses, after video footage showed several onlookers and vehicles in the parking lot at the time. <\/p>\n
