A Kamloops man has a court date after stealing a young person’s bicycle earlier this month.<\/p>\n
Officers were called to a report of a bike theft at a restaurant in the 500 block of Notre Dame Drive back on Sunday, June 2, according to an RCMP media release issued today, June 13.<\/p>\n
A youth had his bike stolen while he was inside the eatery.<\/p>\n
Staff at the unidentified restaurant took photos of a pair of suspects and gave them to police.<\/p>\n
“Luckily, an investigator recognized one of the suspects and set to work with other police officers on getting the bike back,” Kamloops RCMP media liaison Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.<\/p>\n
A suspect was arrested later that week and released from custody with a court date, and the bike was returned to its owner.<\/p>\n
No charges have been laid yet.<\/p>\n
