{"id":5891,"date":"2026-05-20T12:04:51","date_gmt":"2026-05-20T19:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infonews.ca\/?p=7651147"},"modified":"2026-05-20T12:04:53","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T19:04:53","slug":"missing-driver-found-alive-in-crashed-vehicle-in-shuswap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infonews.ca\/inwheels\/news\/5891\/missing-driver-found-alive-in-crashed-vehicle-in-shuswap\/","title":{"rendered":"Missing driver found alive in crashed vehicle in Shuswap"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver of a vehicle that rolled down a steep embankment on a remote forest service road in the Shuswap waited two days to be rescued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The man was reported missing by his family, May 19, after he was last seen on May 17, according to an RCMP media release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency crews found the rolled vehicle on a forest service road in the Chase area soon after the driver was reported missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The man was extricated from the vehicle and he was taken to hospital in serious condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis was a challenging situation in a remote area, and we are relieved the individual was located alive,\u201d RCMP division media relations officer Cpl. Brett Urano said in the release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RCMP aren\u2019t releasing any additional information about the crash to the
