QUESNEL \u2014 Police in British Columbia say a tractor-trailer driver has been charged with impaired driving causing death in a crash involving a motorcyclist last year. <\/p>\n
The crash happened July 24, 2025, on Highway 97 near Quesnel, in the Cariboo region. <\/p>\n
Police say a Kenworth tractor-trailer collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, killing the 42-year-old man on the motorbike who was from Chemainus, on Vancouver Island. <\/p>\n
The BC Prosecution Service approved multiple charges against the truck driver after a yearlong police investigation. <\/p>\n
The truck’s operator faces one count each of dangerous driving causing death, impaired driving causing death and driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit. <\/p>\n
The driver is set to appear in Quesnel Provincial Court on Aug. 18.<\/p>\n
