Travellers can expect more snowy highways in the Interior today.<\/p>\n

Highway 1<\/strong> has a few issues – water is pooling between Sicamous and Revelstoke, one westbound lane closed due to a vehicle incident between Pat Road and Holman Road in Kamloops, and it is slushy with compact snow from Kamloops to Yoho National Park, according to DriveB.C.<\/a> Highway3A <\/strong>has slippery sections between Keremeos and Kaleden; Highway 6 EW<\/strong> is slushy with slippery sections from Vernon to Coldstream; Highway 97<\/strong> is slippery between Osoyoos and Summerland; Highway 97A<\/strong> is slushy with slippery sections throughout; Highway 97B<\/strong> is slushy with slippery sections between the start of the highway and Salmon Arm; and Westside Road<\/strong> is slushy with slippery sections.<\/p>\n

Looking at the weather, Kamloops<\/a> starts off the day at 1 Celsius and will gradually drop to – 1 C by tonight, with rain showers or wet flurries expected this morning, according to Environment Canada. Vernon<\/a> and Kelowna<\/a> will both go from -2 C this morning up to 0 by mid-afternoon before dipping back down -2 C tonight, and there is a chance flurries throughout the day. Penticton’s<\/a> temperature will drop slightly throughout the day from 2 C to 1 C wth a chance of showers or wet flurries this morning.<\/p>\n

The ski hills have some good news to share today – Big White Ski Resort<\/a> is reporting 8 centimetres of new snow and 23 cm over then past week. Sun Peaks Ski Resort<\/a> got 8 cm since yesterday and 31 cm since last week. SilverStar Mountain Resort<\/a> is reporting 3 inches of new snow yesterday with 4 more inches in the forecast today. And Apex Mountain Resort there has been 6 cm of snow in the past two days and 19 cm in the past week. <\/p>\n
