LYTTON \u2014 A man has been charged following a fiery crash that killed two people, including one of his passengers, near Lytton, B.C., last year.<\/p>\n
RCMP say it happened along Highway 1 on Aug. 14, 2025, when a Ford SUV collided with a GMC pickup truck, just south of the Fraser Canyon village.<\/p>\n
Both vehicles were destroyed by fire, with photos from the RCMP showing twisted, blackened metal strewn across the highway.<\/p>\n
The crash also left four people injured, including the 44-year-old man from Williams Lake, B.C., who’s been charged with driving without due care and attention.<\/p>\n
The Mounties say the man’s vehicle was carrying one of the people who died and two others who were injured.<\/p>\n
The man was charged on Aug. 6, just less than a year after the crash, and has a provincial court appearance set for Sept. 15 in Lillooet, B.C.<\/p>\n
