CHILLIWACK \u2014 Police in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley say an 80-year-old cyclist has died after a hit-and-run crash, while a suspect driver has since been arrested and released pending further investigation.<\/p>\n
Chilliwack RCMP say the female cyclist was struck at the intersection of Portage Avenue and Woodbine Street at about 6 p.m. Saturday and pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Police say a suspect vehicle has since been identified and seized.<\/p>\n
They say an adult male driver was arrested but later released as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to have been factors in the crash.<\/p>\n
The Mounties are asking anyone who has video footage of a burgundy or red 2021 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab pickup truck at the time of the crash to contact them.<\/p>\n
