Two women were taken to hospital in Vernon at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday morning after being struck by a truck.<\/p>\n
“A frontline officer was patrolling in downtown Vernon when they came across a group of people standing in the middle of the intersection of 29 Avenue and 30 Street,” says a Vernon North Okanagan RCMP news release. “As the officer approached the group, he could see two women on the ground with visible injuries being treated by bystanders.”<\/p>\n
The driver of the “lifted, black, Dodge 1500” did not stop and fled northbound on 30 Street.<\/p>\n
Both women were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
