The Lobster Pot food truck based in Vernon is rolling again for the season, and this year will be making weekly stops in Kamloops, with the first one less than a week away.<\/p>\n

Due to staffing shortages, owner Mike Taylor is operating three trucks instead of his usual four, and his route will be a bit different.<\/p>\n

“We won’t be in Vernon or Kelowna as frequently, we don’t have the staff this year," he said. "We're making a circuit going through cities in the Okanagan and Kamloops on a weekly basis."<\/p>\n

Last week Taylor posted on social media looking for businesses in Kamloops to host his truck on their lots and was “immediately inundated with responses.”<\/p>\n

He said he generally gets a lot of support from the community of Kamloops and is looking forward to spending more time there. <\/p>\n

“I have a lot of options and will make use of quite a few of them,” he said. “It’ll give us an extra boost being in their lots where they have a lot of staff. I’ll rotate around the city in a few different locations.”<\/p>\n

The star of the food truck menu is the lobster roll, east coast lobster knuckle and claw meat on a fresh bun. Taylor said lobster supply is solid this season and while the menu hasn’t changed, fans of the lobster rolls will be happy to know the costs have dropped by a few dollars this season.<\/p>\n

The Lobster Pot’s first stop in the tournament capital this season is at the Best Western Plus Hotel at 660 Columbia Street West from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until sold out on Saturday, April 8.<\/p>\n
