Pickle lovers in Kamloops can now go on a city-wide food tour as part of a quirky and unique campaign that launched today, April 1.<\/p>\n
The undoubtedly tasty experience is the result of a lot of work and a lot of sampling by Tourism Kamloops staff, in partnership with 10 local open-minded restaurants.<\/p>\n
The Pickle Pursuit is an exclusive, Kamloops-only campaign featuring pickle-inspired menu items that runs from April 1 to May 31, 2022.<\/p>\n
“Kickstarting our visitor economy is top priority and the launch of the Pickle Pursuit is a quirky campaign to help our visitors and residents explore our city like never before," Tourism Kamloops CEO Monica Dickinson said in the release.<\/p>\n
“It’s been a difficult couple of years and this campaign highlights our restaurant partners in a bold and unscripted way. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good pickle!”<\/p>\n
READ MORE<\/strong>: Something peculiar planned for Kamloops people with a passion for pickles <\/a><\/p>\n Pickle Pursuit participants find custom stickers of personified pickles at each location, for example, a sticker of a pickle sipping wine and “feeling brined”, exclusive to Cordo Resto & Bar, or one of a pickle golfing that says “gherkin on my swing", exclusive to Black Iron Grill at Tobiano.<\/p>\n Winners’ shirts are a new collaboration with Bigfoot Trading Co., a retailer in the Aberdeen Mall.<\/p>\n “Our goal is to get visitors back to Kamloops while supporting and energizing our stakeholders through innovative means,” Dickinson said. “This two-month pickle celebration is our way of getting creative, being a bit weird, and showing visitors that Kamloops is a unique destination that will keep you coming back.”<\/p>\n Prospective pickle participants can sign up here and download the app for free<\/a> to their mobile device.
