For the second year in a row, Thompson-Okanagan residents say wife-saver is the biggest Christmas morning hit.<\/p>\n

The dish is quite versatile. It can be kept simple with break, eggs, onion, cheese, ham and cornflakes or fancied up with different vegetables.<\/p>\n

Christy Danielson’s Belgium waffles<\/strong><\/p>\n

Although Danielson isn’t giving up her grandmother’s recipe, her Belgium waffles come with warm vanilla pudding, fresh fruit compote, hash browns and sausages or bacon.<\/p>\n
