Rigour & Whimsy is a micro winery in Okanagan Falls featuring hand crafted small lot wines. Costa and Jody Gavaris are the very cool husband and wife team behind the label that have brought a very colourful wave to our wine industry.<\/p>\n

Creative and fun, the duo are focussing on creating amber or orange wines and Gamay and Syrah. The labels and wine names are whimsical and captivating: Dazzling Light, Orienteering in the Underworld and Cowabunga! Sparkling are sure to peak interest.<\/p>\n

The couple creates their wines from root to bottle and carefully raise their vines through a regenerative farming style to increase biodiversity. Well loved, Rigour & Whimsy wines have become a favourite for sommeliers and are critically acclaimed.<\/p>\n

The 2019 Hyperdrive<\/p>\n

"This is a short skip at lightspeed through hyperspace from the 2018 Flux Capacitor. They are the same but different. The Flux Capacitor was a co-fermentation of six grape varieties. Hyperdrive is a blend of two independently fermented varieties: Pinot Blanc and Viognier. The Pinot Blanc is the spine and structure of this wine with ample orchard fruit and acidity. The Viognier is the coaxium – the hyperfuel bending space and time at will. Highly unstable and explosive on its own, the Viognier has an impact on this blend that far outweighs its 30% fraction.<\/p>\n

This wine loves bashing us over our heads with our own preconceptions and biases of what Viognier is capable of.<\/p>\n

Drink this to expand your mind, your palate, and your possibilities.<\/p>\n
