There&#8217;s opportunity to meet, cuddle and take a photo with Steele, a micro miniature Highland cow from EE Mini Ranch. This free activity running from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 4300 Maw Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmstrongcider.com\/pickle-festival?fbclid=IwY2xjawL3cRdleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFmY3E5QXV5MXJhWU1rR3pWAR7i80n9PLfje8VaCR3xtR0Cio68B50jV8g9yoDXF2sZ1YuDl8COmloK9wOaog_aem_Yo5K9G_EoYqAwLFmr0Qq2A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Go here for information.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the 5th Annual Ghostly Garlic Festival in&nbsp;<strong>Lake Country<\/strong>&nbsp;on Aug. 10, visitors can explore varieties of fresh local garlic and meet the growers while enjoying family-friendly activities, artisan vendors and live music.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/happeningnext.com\/event\/5th-annual-ghostly-garlic-festival-eid3a0cjralww\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">family-friendly celebration of garlic<\/a>&nbsp;runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oyama Community Club at 15710 Oyama Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/infonews.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/hd-mediaitemid110050-4092.jpg\" alt=\"|\" class=\"wp-image-7301343\" title=\"|\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">These braided soft garlics were contest winners at the Grindrod Garlic Festival in 2024.<br \/>SUBMITTED \/ Grindrod Garlic Festival<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At the 16th Annual&nbsp;<strong>Grindrod<\/strong>&nbsp;Garlic Festival on Sunday, Aug. 17, visitors can enter their homegrown garlic to win in categories including the biggest garlic, most unusual shaped garlic and best coloured garlic. There are categories for best garlic pickles and best home baked garlic bread, along with best paintings of garlic the kids can participate in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are garlic braiding classes, a garlic talk and a garlic eating contest scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/grindrodgarlicfestival.ca\/schedule-of-events\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grindrod Garlic Festival<\/a>&nbsp;runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Quilakwa Ball Park at 5679 Quilakwa Road.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kicking off on Saturday, Sept. 6 and continuing to Sept. 13, the 13th annual Farmer\u2019s Market Tomato Festival in&nbsp;<strong>Kamloops<\/strong>&nbsp;showcases a variety of tomato-based foods while featuring activities that promote local food security.&nbsp;The public can taste tomatoes from local growers and vote for the best tasting tomato for the People\u2019s Choice Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/kamloops.com\/articles\/experience-kamloops-farmers-markets-local-food-and-community\/#:~:text=The%202025%20festival%20will%20take%20place%20from%20September,brings%20together%20local%20food%20vendors%20and%20culinary%20experts.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kamloops tomato celebration<\/a>&nbsp;takes place daily from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the 200 block of St. Paul Street and the Stuart Wood Schoolyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 20th annual&nbsp;<strong>Sicamous&nbsp;<\/strong>Fungi Festival is running from Friday, Sept. 19 through to Sunday, Sept. 21 this year. Mushroom lovers can go on educational foraging walks with experts, see mushroom presentations and dig into gourmet fungus forward foods. There will be live music and a local market for the three-day event that celebrates everything fungus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fungifestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Fungi Festival runs<\/a>&nbsp;all day for three days at the Legion grounds at 322 Main Street.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/infonews.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/hd-mediaitemid110050-7696.jpg\" alt=\"|\" class=\"wp-image-7301344\" title=\"|\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Visitors to the Sicamous Fungi Festival can go foraging for mushrooms with experts.<br \/>SUBMITTED \/ Sicamous Fungi Festival<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Saturday, Sept. 20, the country\u2019s only hot pepper festival gets spicy in&nbsp;<strong>Keremeos<\/strong>. At the Similkameen Sizzle Pepper Festival visitors can dive into spicy pepper eating challenges, try out dishes and food trucks and shop at a big market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The spicy festival starts at 10 a.m. at 417 7 Avenue.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SimSizzleFest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Go here for updates as the big event gets
