Director Kate Twa brought new life to Shakespeare&#8217;s &#8220;A Midsummer Night&#8217;s Dream&#8221;. <br \/><br \/>The production went the extra mile to visit Naramata&#8217;s Van Westen Vineyards. On the vineyard currently sits a historic site called The Naramata Home Theatre, a 100-year-old building that was one of BC and Canada&#8217;s earliest theatre production buildings. The theatre was short-lived, as it was built above a fruit-packing facility in the 1920s, and the market crashed. Unable to sustain itself, the building sat dormant for years.<br \/><br \/>The production team and a crew of volunteers took it upon themselves to clean up the building and help restore it to be able to perform in. The newly named &#8220;Village Theatre&#8221; was up and running again after some much-needed love and held a week&#8217;s worth of performances and will likely host again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the week of performances, Tempest held another week of performances at their theatre in Penticton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/jx5YVyvFyq5Q4AVB7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Tempest Theatre completed their production of &#8220;Dream&#8221; on Sunday.
