KELOWNA – The Okanagan Lavender & Herb Farm won this year’s Canadian FedEx Small Business Grant Contest, rising above almost 2,000 other entries.<\/p>\n

This Kelowna farm produces hand-crafted, sustainable skincare and culinary projects using all eco friendly packaging. In fact, they are one of the first North American companies to use 100 percent biodegradable wood chip containers.<\/p>\n

The farm will put the $5,000 toward marketing its philosophy and sustainable products to the community.<\/p>\n

The FedEx Small Business Grant Contest was launched last year to recognize 10 inspiring businesses from across Canada each year in order to provide them with support and financial resources, and thus boost their growth.<\/p>\n

Did you know that we grow and harvest over 20 different plants and herbs here on our farm to make our body care and culinary products? ?? ? This includes not only lavender but roses, thyme, spearmint, oregano, birch, linden, sage, savory, lemon balm, lemon verbena, rose geranium, echinacea, viola, hawthorn, passionflower, sunflower, pine, witch hazel, rosemary, helichrysum, calendula and cedar! ??<\/a><\/p>\n
