Location picked for giant Slip ‘n Slide in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – Another step has been taken toward the plan to bring a huge Slip 'n Slide to Kamloops this summer.

Slide the City, a U.S. company which tours their giant sections of vinyl to cities across North America, has posted a location for the July event on its website.

The giant section of plastic water slide will go on Hillside Drive between Hillside Way and Notre Dame Drive.

The family friendly event will include live music, food, drinks, and of course, the 1,000-foot long Slip 'n Slide in the middle of the road.

The Kamloops event is one of about a dozen planned in Canada this summer, including North Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Calgary and Edmonton.

An exact date for the Kamloops event has yet to be set.
