Date set for Slide the City in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS – The chance to pick up a ticket for this summer's epic slip 'n slide event is coming soon.
The first Slide the City Kamloops will take place Saturday, July 18, and ticket registration opens Tuesday, May 26.
The family-friendly event will feature food, drinks, live music and a 1,000-foot water slide covering Hillside Drive between Hillside Way and Notre Dame Drive. If tubing down the road is not your idea of fun but you still want to get in on the action volunteer options are also available.
Pricing for tickets or wristbands, and volunteer information, is available on the Slide the City Kamloops website.
Back in January the US-based company announced plans to visit Canada this year. Other B.C. cities this summer include Nanaimo and North Vancouver while Edmonton and Calgary are the two Albertan locations also slated for late July and August.
