Body of missing man recovered in South Thompson River

KAMLOOPS – Police located the body of a 58-year-old man who was reported missing May 18. 

Cpl. Chery Bush, a spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP detachment, says investigators recovered the man's body the afternoon of May 20 from the South Thompson River. 

Police asked the public for information earlier this week after the man's truck was found abandoned near the LaFarge Road bridge.

Bush says the death is is not part of a criminal investigation and the file has been handed over to the B.C. Coroners Service.
