Vernon road update: 30 Avenue to 32 Avenue

VERNON – Beginning the week of May 25 and lasting until the end of September, City of Vernon crews and contractors will begin construction between 30 Avenue and 32 Avenue.

The work will include rehabilitating storm mains, sanitary mains, curb and gutter, sidewalks and repaving on 33 Street.

The sanitary mains will be relined using a “no dig” construction method as a way of reducing infrastructure costs.

During construction, please expect occasional detours of roads, alleys and sidewalks, as well as alternating traffic lanes.

Access to buildings will be maintained at all times, and traffic management and pedestrian access through and around the site will be the priority.
