WESTFORD, Mass. – Authorities have released the name of the Massachusetts woman who died after becoming pinned under her own SUV during a supermarket parking lot accident.
Prosecutors on Friday identified the victim as 64-year-old Wei Wang, of Acton. The accident happened Thursday outside the Market Basket in Westford, about 30 miles northwest of Boston.
Authorities say she was at the back of her SUV when it was struck by another vehicle. They say the collision caused her vehicle to roll backward, and she became pinned underneath.
Wang was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The other driver stayed at the scene, and no charges have been filed. The accident remains under investigation.
