Overnight Surrey, B.C., shooting likely targeted: police

SURREY, B.C. – Police are once again investigating gun fire in Surrey, B.C.

RCMP say they received reports early Saturday morning of shots being fired in South Surrey.

Officers found what appear to be several gun shots into a residence.

Police say there were people inside the home, but no one was injured.

They believe the shooting was a targeted and isolated incident.

There have been dozens of shootings in Surrey this year, and police say much of the violence is tied to young men involved in low-level drug trade.
