VICTORIA – Pacific FC has signed former Canadian under-17 players Alessandro Hojabpour, Matthew Baldisimo and Terran Campbell.
“These three are solid young players in their age group and we are glad to have them join us to continue their careers back in Canada,” Pacific FC coach Michael Silberbauer said in a statement. “They bring energy and excitement to our growing team.”
Hojabpour, a 19-year-old attacking midfielder from Vancouver, returns to Canada from the Bulgarian league where he has been playing for Lokomotiv Plovdiv U19 team since 2017.
Baldisimo, a 20-year-old midfielder, and Campbell, a 20-year-old striker, played most recently for Fresno FC in the USL. Both are from Burnaby, B.C.
All three were part of the Vancouver Whitecaps youth residency program and played on Vancouver’s reserve team.
The three join Kadin Chung and Marcus Haber on the Victoria-based Pacific FC roster. The Canadian Premier League team is set to begin its inaugural season in April.
