Toronto’s Aaron Brown third in men’s 100-metre final at Miramar track meet

MIRAMAR, Fla. – Toronto’s Aaron Brown finished third in the men’s 100-metre final at the Miramar invitational track and field meet Saturday.

Brown posted a wind-aided time of 9.97 seconds to finish behind Jamaicans Oblique Seville (9.91) and Ackeem Blake (9.93). Vancouver resident Jerome Blake was fifth in 10.05 seconds.

Aiyanna Stiverne, of Laval, Que., competed in the women’s 400-metre final, finishing sixth in 54.01 seconds. American Shamier Little won the race in 50.73.
