PHOENIX – Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign plans to begin airing television ads on Friday in Arizona, a state carried by Republicans in 11 of the past 12 elections.
The announcement from the Democratic nominee’s campaign comes on the heels of Donald Trump’s speech on Wednesday in Phoenix, where he re-stated his vow to deport millions of people living in the country illegally.
Clinton had flirted with running a more robust campaign in Arizona, where an influx of Hispanic voters — who vote overwhelmingly Democratic — has given the party hope in recent elections.
