Suspect accused of stabbing Richmond, B.C., man arrested: police

RICHMOND, B.C. – Police say a 45-year-old man was stabbed as he prepared to mow his lawn in Richmond, B.C.

RCMP say the man suffered serious injuries in the attack on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the suspect drove off in a Mercedes Benz convertible before officers responded to multiple reports about the stabbing.

A 35-year-old man was arrested several hours later when officers spotted the vehicle.

James Billing of Surrey, B.C., has been charged with aggravated assault.

Mounties say he and the victim know each other and were involved in a verbal confrontation.
