1 dead, 12 injured in road accident in western Albania
TIRANA, Albania – Albanian police say one driver has died and 12 students have been injured after a bus and a minibus crashed in western Albania.
Spokesman Gentian Mullai says Friday the crash took place in Levan, 120 kilometres (75 miles) southwest of the capital, Tirana. He says the minivan’s driver has died and a dozen students have been injured.
The official said an investigation into the causes of the crash ongoing but added the road was slippery due to heavy rain.
Local media say the bus was transporting 30 students.
