Fatal collision near Boston Bar

BOSTON BAR – One person is dead following a collision between a tractor-trailer loaded with lumber and a passenger vehicle near Boston Bar today.

Around 8 a.m., June 4, RCMP responded to a collision in the westbound lane on Highway 1 near Blue Lake Road, north of Boston Bar. Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction.

The passenger vehicle was driven by a 63-year-old woman who died from her injuries at the scene. The name of the woman is not being released, neither is the name and status of the woman’s passenger. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured.

Highway 1 was closed for much of the day but fully re-opened around 4 p.m.
