Pup with broken leg needs your help

PENTICTON – A 10-month-old puppy who was hit by a car needs a little help from the public to get back on all four paws.

Jodi, a black and white Labrador retriever mix, was brought into the South Okangan-Similkameen SPCA with a broken femur and in need of more than $4,000 worth of medical treatment.

“She had surgery to pin and wire the leg, but her prognosis for a full recovery is good,” South Okanagan-Similkameen BC SPCA Branch manager Corinne Ross says in a media release. “She’s such a sweet, friendly, happy girl. We just want her to have the chance to live a full and active life, once her leg has healed.”

Jodi will require nearly two months of follow-up care, including vet examinations and physiotherapy before she will be ready for adoption.

If you can help Jodi go to the BC SPCA's website for more information and to donate.
