Dangerous driver had no license to drive

A 24-year-old male student without a valid B.C. drivers license was arrested Saturday afternoon after hitting multiple parked vehicles downtown Vernon.

The Kamloops man was driving a 2003 white Chev Impala in the area of 32 Ave. and 34th St. when witnesses spotted him bash into four parked vehicles and a lamp standard. Cpl. Gerry Kovaks said the suspect continued to drive away.

"The vehicle a 2003 white Chev Impala eventually made its way into the 3600 block of 24th Ave striking another parked van and pickup truck," Kovaks said.

The driver was taken into custody for alcohol related driving offences and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

"There were several witnesses to this event and police continue their investigation in this incident," Kovaks said.
