Blazers open 2015-16 season versus Rockets?

KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops Blazers will host their Zimmer Wheaton home opener for the 2015-16 season on Saturday, Sept. 26, against the Kelowna Rockets. Game time will be 7 p.m. at the Interior Savings Centre. The Rockets were the 2015 Western Hockey League Champions and a Memorial Cup finalist, falling to the Oshawa General in the Memorial Cup final.

The Zimmer Wheaton home opener will start with a ‘Party on the Plaza’ featuring different events outside the front entrance of Interior Savings Centre prior to the game.

The 2015-16 season will be the 35th season in the WHL for the Kamloops Blazers franchise, and the WHL will be celebrating its 50th season. The entire 2015-16 exhibition and regular season is scheduled to be announced later this month.
