Story of scarred girl allegedly tossed out of KFC could be a hoax
MISSISSIPPI – The story about a little girl allegedly asked by a KFC employee to leave because of facial injuries may be a hoax.
The company's internal investigation found no evidence of the reported events, or that the girl was ever at the the restaurant, according to various news reports.
An outside investigator has been hired to conduct a separate investigation.
The girl's injuries happened when she was mauled by three of her grandfather's dogs. KFC committed $30,000 to help with the girl's medical bills. The pledge won't be affected by the outcome of the investigation.
