Man assaulted at Vernon business

VERNON – Police are investigating after a 24-year-old man was assaulted at a Vernon business last night.

RCMP say they were called to the business in the 8100-block of Highland Road in a light industrial area on the north end of Swan Lake at about 10:50 p.m., June 18.

The victim had minor injuries and was checked out by ambulance paramedics before being taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital where he was treated and released, according to a RCMP media release.

“Our officers are continuing to investigate the details of this assault file and are following up on all leads,” RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says in the release.
