Canadian equestrian champion Joni Lynn Peters to perform at Midsummer Night

LAKE COUNTRY – Old Friends Canada Society and Apple Flats Orchard and Stable will be hosting Midsummer Night on Sunday, June 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This picnic style event will celebrate the longest day of the summer and feature a once in a lifetime combination of equestrian and musical arts.

Joni Lynn Peters and her equine Travolta, top placing Canadian competitors at the California Pan-Am Circuit in 2015, are set to perform in a unique combination of dressage and classical singing.

This once in a lifetime combination of performances highlights the talent located in the central Okanagan.

Opera Kelowna’s youth ensemble Candesca will be performing prior to their international summer tour. Additionally the afternoon will feature accompaniment by Arnold Draper, principal pianist.

Midsummer Night will not only be a relaxing afternoon of food, drink and arts. But patrons will also have the opportunity to observe some of the horses that have been rescued by Old Friends Canada Society, who is hosting the event.

Tickets for this event are $25 and can be purchased at www.oldfriendscanada.org.
