KAMLOOPS – Jim Sinclair, president of the B.C. Federation of Labour, will address a teacher rally tonight at Riverside Park.
Jim Iker, president of the B.C. Teachers' Federation, was expected to attend but due to a bargaining meeting he will not make it in time.
Iker and Sinclair have travelled together to speak to teachers across the province. The two were in Prince George yesterday.
With the potential of both union heads attending – a larger turnout is expected. At the beginning of the month, a teacher rally on the Overlander Bridge garnered over 300 supporters.
The Riverside Park rally is set to commence at 5 p.m. Sinclair is expected to speak from the bandshell.
