Subject of police warning pleads guilty to sexual assault of children

WEST KELOWNA – A man police have been investigating since 2012 has pleaded guilty to charges of sexually touching children.

Jason Antonio White, 35, was the subject of a public warning issued in March. The warning said investigators have “reasonable grounds to believe White of West Kelowna is offending against children and that there may be victims not yet identified to police.“

According to a report by Global Okanagan, White pleaded guilty to exposing genitals and touching a person under 16 earlier this week. He has been released on conditions he stay away from children and public areas and will appear in court at a later date.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding White, or anyone who believes their child may have been a victim, please contact Kelowna RCMP Const. Harkness at 250-762-3300. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
