The District of West Kelowna’s Roads Department has begun its annual line traffic line painting. All roads that were painted in prior years will be repainted as well as selected pavement markings. These markings include crosswalks, arrows, and stop bars.

Motorists may experience minor delays as crews are working, and are cautioned not to drive on freshly-painted lines. Full traffic control will be in place as motorists are reminded to use due care when experiencing temporary single lane alternating traffic.

It is anticipated that the project will take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting. Please obey traffic personnel as crews use this time to enhance District infrastructure.

The Roads and Construction Department is responsible for traffic signs and line marking of all roads within the District of West Kelowna except for Hwy 97, Highway 97C and Westside Road, which are maintained by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
