Fire at North Shore fourplex still under investigation
KAMLOOPS – A fire ripped through a house and garage on Selkirk Avenue yesterday and while investigators are still trying to determine what happened, the assistant fire chief is saying it's too early to call it suspicious.
Members of Kamloops Fire Rescue were called to a fire at a fourplex house on Selkirk Avenue yesterday, June 24, and fire investigators are still trying determine the cause of the evening blaze.
“The cause hasn’t been determined but I’m not aware of it being suspicious,” Assistant Fire Chief Curtis Bossert says. “Until the (incident) report is complete there’s really not much more to say."
Bossert confirmed there were no injuries to the occupants and says he believes the fire started outside.
The location is currently cordoned off by police tape while the investigation continues.
