Disney says Star Wars lands will open in summer, fall 2019

ORLANDO, Fla. – Disney says its much-anticipated new Star Wars lands will open in California next summer and in Florida in late fall 2019.

The company on Tuesday offered more detailed times on when in 2019 the Star Wars: Galaxy Edge lands would open at its U.S. theme parks.

The Star Wars land will open at Disneyland Resort in the summer of 2019, followed by an opening at Walt Disney World resort in the fall of 2019.

The company said in a statement announcing the openings that guests “will land in the middle of the action as they live their own Star Wars stories.”
