
Bylaw officer assaulted in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS – RCMP are trying to identify a man who attacked a city bylaw officer last night in Kamloops.
A female officer was investigating a male who was spray painting the back of the Memorial Arena on Victoria Street around 8:30 p.m., June 28. The male struck the officer with his skateboard, knocking her to the ground and fled the scene. The officer was transported to Royal Inland Hospital and later released.
The suspect is described as Caucasian in his early 20s, 6’ tall with a thin build. He has blonde streaks in his hair and was wearing green and white swim shorts and had a black backpack and brown skateboard with him at the time.
Items left behind by the suspect have been seized by police and they continue to investigate the assault.
