VIDEO: Kenny Vs. Spenny promote upcoming Kelowna show

KELOWNA – The best friends from Toronto who actually kind of hate each other, have put out a video promoting their upcoming show in Kelowna.

Both Kenny Hotz and Spencer “Spenny” Rice, stars of the hit TV show Kenny Vs. Spenny, feature in the short video, but it is Spenny who does most of the talking.

“I’ll be in Kelowna July 11 at the Kelowna Community Centre to deal with all this nonsense and to tear this guy a new one,” he says after ripping a mask of Kenny’s face in half.

He goes on to promise the show will provide context and truth to all the lies Kenny has told about him over the years.

Kenny Vs. Spenny is a Canadian TV show that ran for six seasons on Showcase. Each episode featured the two Toronto natives competing in outrageous and often disgusting challenges, with the loser forced to do something humiliating of the victors choosing.

The series was nominated for the Canadian Comedy Awards in 2010 and 2011 and for a Gemini Award in 2005, 2006 and 2008 as the best Canadian comedy series. It spawned several international replicas including a French Canadian version called Frank vs Girard, Ed vs. Spencer in the United Kingdom, Juan vs. Roman in Latin America, Elton vs. Simon in Germany, Katja vs. Bridget, Dennis vs. Valerio in the Netherlands, and Sid vs. Varun in India. In 2009 Kenny Vs. Spenny was named one of the top 10 Canadian television shows of the decade
