New regional district boss hired from within

VERNON – The directors on the Regional District of the North Okanagan board didn’t have to look far to hire a new Chief Administrative Officer.

The regional district’s top job has gone to David Sewell who has been the Chief Financial Officer for almost 5 years.

He replaces Trafford Hall who left the district in April. Few details were released about the termination of his position because personnel matters are private and confidential in municipal government.

Sewell brings 14 years of local government experience to the CAO position.

“The directors of the board are confident he will continue to provide administrative leadership and build strong relationships with all the member municipalities and electoral areas,” board vice-chair Rick Fairbairn said in a media release.

No word from the board on whether or not the CFO position will be filled.
