Vancouver police investigating death of 19-year-old after Friday night assault
Vancouver police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man following a Friday night assault.
They say the victim and the suspect had an altercation around 9:15 p.m. in the Downtown Eastside.
They say the man was allegedly assaulted with a weapon before the suspect ran off.
Police have identified the victim as Vancouver resident Dakota Saje Wildeman-McNeil.
They say Wildeman-McNeil was taken to hospital where he died.
This is Vancouver’s third homicide of 2019.
