KAMLOOPS – The man who died in a motorcycle crash south of Knutsford Thursday afternoon has been identified.
The B.C. Coroners Service says Colin Leslie Mackay, 42, died in the crash.
Mackay was operating the northbound motorcycle on Highway 5A around 1:20 p.m. yesterday, July 2, when he lost control on an uphill curve near Cardew Hill, about 10 kilometres south of Kamloops. The motorcycle left the road and ‘cartwheeled’ down an embankment.
The Vancouver man was deceased at the scene. Search and rescue members were called in to retrieve the body because it was down a 12-metre embankment.
The coroners service and RCMP continue to investigate.
