University of Montana researchers report that visitors to the state spent $3.24 billion in 2017 on gas, food, lodging, shopping and other items. Here’s a glance at the 13 counties where visitors spent more than $50 million.

Gallatin — $660 million

Flathead — $531 million

Missoula — $295 million

Yellowstone — $255 million

Cascade — $198 million

Park — $186 million

Lewis and Clark — $145 million

Silver Bow — $127 million

Glacier — $96 million

Beaverhead — $82 million

Madison — $65 million

Lincoln — $54 million

Custer — $50 million
