PENTICTON – A 43-year-old woman was taken to hospital after a tricky rescue from Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park Friday evening.

Penticton Search and Rescue volunteers were called into action at around 6:15 p.m.

B.C. Ambulance paramedics needed help getting the woman out of the park.

A six-member ground team had a tough journey into the site, according to a media release.

The rescuers were helped out by a group of climbers. They helped pack in the equipment and the stretcher.

Once the victim was loaded up, the helicopter long line team lifted her out and flew her to the park’s parking lot. There she was loaded into an ambulance for the trip to Penticton Regional Hospital.

No word on how seriously the woman was injured.
