Police confirm identity of Black Mountain murder victim but still no arrests

KELOWNA – RCMP have confirmed the identity of the man found murdered in his home on Black Mountain earlier this week.

The body of Amardeep Singh Ahluwalia, 47, was found in his home on Feedham Avenue in the early morning hours of July 7. Police have said very little about the cause of death but confirmed it is being investigated as a homicide.

One area resident says Ahluwalia’s girlfriend fled the house shortly after midnight that night and went next door where a neighbour cut her loose from restraints. Police have said they believe Ahluwalia died from a 'targeted attack' but have said nothing else.

Ahluwalia moved to Kelowna from Surrey five years ago and was not employed at the time of his death, according to someone who knew him.

This was Kelowna’s second confirmed homicide of the year. There have been no arrests.
