PHILADELPHIA – Michael Bradley scored twice as Toronto FC opened its 2019 MLS season with a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union on Saturday.
Toronto, the MLS Cup winners in 2017 who failed to reach the playoffs last season, also got a stoppage-time goal from Nick DeLeon.
Bradley fired in his first of the game in first-half stoppage time and added his second in the 62nd minute to give TFC (1-0-0) a 2-0 lead.
Marco Fabian had the lone goal for Philadelphia (0-1-0) on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute.
