Vernon mounties dealt with half a dozen vehicle thefts early Sunday morning, and are reminding the community to lock up and not leave valuable items unattended.
The thefts were concentrated to the 3000 block of 32nd St.
"The reports continued throughout the morning," Cpl. Gerry Kovaks said, adding at least 6 reported thefts from motor vehicles are now under investigation.
Some of the thefts occurred from vehicles left unlocked. Other vehicles had smashed windows.
"Earlier in the evening police received a report of a suspicious male wearing a black hoody, ball cap checking vehicle doors in a parking lot located in the 3500 block of 30th Ave," Kovaks said.
Police are asking the public to report all suspicious activity in the community.
