Vernon road closures
VERNON – Current and upcoming road closures in Vernon.
COLDSTREAM AVENUE
Coldstream Avenue between Hwy 97 and 33 Street is closed to traffic throughout July and August for utility upgrades. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes during this time.
30 AVENUE AND 37 AVENUE RAILWAY CROSSINGS
The railway crossing at 30 Avenue will be closed between 28 Street and 29 Street to accommodate railway upgrade and road repair from July 20-22 and again Aug. 4-12.
Beginning July 22 until Aug. 5, the railway crossing at 37 Avenue will be closed between 28 Street and 29 Street to accommodate railway and utility reconstruction.
Work may start as early as 6 a.m. to accommodate train schedules.
Please note that traffic control will be in effect for the duration of construction on both projects and detours will be posted in advance of road closures. Access to local businesses will still be possible during construction.
