New York Islanders goaltender Robin Lehner, New York Rangers centre Mika Zibanejad and Chicago Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane have been named the NHL’s three stars for the week ending on Sunday.
Lehner, the first star, stopped 65 of 67 shots as the Islanders went 3-0 to vault into first place in the Metropolitan Division.
Zibanejad, the second star, had three game-winning goals last week. He had five goals and two assists in three games. Like fellow Swede Lehner, Zibanejad is a former Ottawa Senator.
Kane had one four-point outing and another five-point game. He finished with 10 points in three games last week.
